What does “LNIB” mean?

Like New In Box.

LNIB, explained

LNIB stands for Like New In Box. It describes a watch that has been owned and worn, but so little that it shows almost no signs of use, and it still comes with its box and usually its papers. It sits between unworn and lightly used pre-owned.

The term is subjective, so experienced buyers ask what “like new” actually means for that watch. Are there faint marks on the clasp or the polished parts of the bracelet? Have the stickers been removed? Has the bracelet been sized, and are the removed links included? Clear, well-lit photos of the clasp, bezel and case sides usually answer these questions quickly. LNIB watches are generally valued below truly unworn examples but above normal pre-owned ones, which is why the accuracy of the description matters to both buyer and seller.

A typical post: “LNIB Omega Seamaster Diver 300M, 2023 card, worn a handful of times, no visible marks, stickers removed, all links included.”
