The short answer

Vault47 is store management software for independent watch and jewelry dealers: inventory, memos, repairs, sales, tags and AI tools, from $100 a month plus a $1,000 setup fee as listed in October 2026. Soda is a trade-only platform where verified dealers buy, sell, auction and trade with each other, with inventory, invoices and price history built in, no commissions and no initiation fee.

Key takeaways

  • Vault47 is built for running a store: the counter, the memo book, the repair tickets.
  • Soda is built for the trade: a marketplace of verified dealers buying and selling with each other.
  • As listed in October 2026, Vault47 charges a one-time setup fee of $1,000 (Basic) or $5,000 (Pro); Soda has no initiation fee.

On this page

Vault47 and Soda both serve independent watch dealers, but they're built for two different rooms. Vault47 is built for the store: the counter, the safe, the repair desk. Soda is built for the trade: the dealer-to-dealer floor where watches move between businesses.

If you're comparing them, the honest first question isn't which is better. It's which room most of your money moves through. This page lays out both, with Vault47's facts from its own website as of October 2026. For the rest of the field, see the watch dealer platform comparison.

What Vault47 is

Vault47 is made by VAULT47 Tech LLC, at 23 W 47th Street in Manhattan's Diamond District. Its headline: "Your store, optimized by AI. Not replaced by it."[1] It's aimed at independent watch and fine jewelry dealers.

Its feature list covers the work of a store: inventory, buys, sales and trade-ins; repairs, memos and layaways; clients, invoices and receipts; team accounts, roles and a time clock; thermal tag printing; AI photo and marketing studios and an AI assistant; multi-location transfers; analytics on margin, turn and aging; and accounting sync, backups and an audit log.[1] It also offers live sale events, which it describes as running "off your own stock", optimized for TikTok and eBay Live.[1]

Pricing, as listed on its site in October 2026:[1]

  • Basic: $100 a month plus a $1,000 one-time setup. 1 location, up to 5 team members, 250 AI photos a month.
  • Pro: $400 a month plus a $5,000 one-time setup. Unlimited locations and team members, 1,500 AI photos a month, plus live auctions, analytics, accounting sync and audit logs.

Why I built Soda differently

I sold watches for years before building Soda. A lot of that business never touched a counter. It happened between dealers: a watch I needed sitting in someone else's stock, a buyer three states away, a deal agreed in a group chat with someone I'd never met.

That's the part of the business I found had no real home. The trade runs on group chats, screenshots and trust that can't be checked. So I built Soda as the place where verified dealers trade with each other, and put the tools you need around each deal: inventory, invoices, price data. Run your whole business from one tab.

A list of stock, or a shop window to the whole trade

In store software, inventory is a private record: what you own, what it cost, where it is. That matters, and Soda has it too. The inventory manager keeps your cost and margin private to your company, handles bulk actions and exports to CSV or Excel whenever you want.

The difference is the next step. On Soda, you publish a watch and it goes live instantly to every verified dealer on the platform, in one marketplace with one search bar. Keep a piece private, or sell it safely to just one dealer, if you prefer. And when a dealer posts a Looking For request that matches something in your private inventory, you see the match, so stock that would have sat in the safe has a buyer waiting.

Who's on the other side of the deal

Selling to a walk-in client and selling to a dealer you've never met are different risks. Dealer-to-dealer, the questions are always the same: who is this, have they done this before, and are those really their bank details?

On Soda, nobody trades until our team has manually reviewed their ID, a selfie holding that ID and business documents. Everyone appears with their real full name and company. Every profile shows when they were verified, completed deals, completion rate, ratings, vouches and strikes, so the track record is on the profile, not in a reference call.

When a deal is agreed, both sides see each other's secure, verified payment details inside the deal and nowhere else. Changes must be confirmed by the owner by email or text, and counterparties are notified. We never touch your money.

Pricing from what dealers actually paid

Analytics on your own margin and turn tell you how your store is doing. They don't tell you what a reference trades for between dealers this month. On Soda, price history comes from real deals on the platform, with sold comps you can check before you buy or list. No third-party data, no asking prices dressed up as sales.

Setup fees and year-one cost

As listed on Vault47's site in October 2026, the first year on Basic is $100 a month plus a $1,000 setup fee, and on Pro $400 a month plus a $5,000 setup fee.[1]

Soda has no initiation fee and no commissions. Two plans, same features: Solo from $80 USD a month, and Team from $1,500 USD a year, which adds employee seats (each with their own ID check) and publishing to your own Shopify store, eBay US and a Chrono24 feed. See plans and pricing.

Who Soda is for

Soda is trade-only, for verified watch businesses that buy from and sell to other dealers. If your business is mostly the counter, with repairs, memos, layaways and walk-in clients, a store system is built for that work. If a real share of your watches comes from or goes to other dealers, that's the work Soda was built for, and the two can sit side by side. For what to look for in any tool, see watch dealer software: what to look for.

The bottom line

Vault47 is software for running a store. Soda is a platform for trading with the trade: verified dealers, one marketplace, binding deals, verified payment details, invoices and real dealer price history, with no commissions and no initiation fee.

Questions dealers ask

How much does Vault47 cost?

As listed on its website in October 2026, Vault47 Basic is $100 a month plus a $1,000 one-time setup (1 location, up to 5 team members), and Pro is $400 a month plus a $5,000 one-time setup (unlimited locations and team members). Check their site for current prices.

Is Vault47 a marketplace?

Vault47 describes itself as store software for independent watch and jewelry dealers. Its live sale events run off your own stock and are aimed at platforms like TikTok and eBay Live. We couldn't find a dealer-to-dealer marketplace on its public website as of October 2026.

What is the best Vault47 alternative for watch dealers?

If most of your business is buying from and selling to other dealers, look for a trade-only platform with verified members, binding deals and real dealer price history. That's Soda: one marketplace, inventory and invoices, no commissions and no initiation fee.

Can I use Vault47 and Soda together?

Yes. Nothing stops a store from running its counter on one system and trading with other dealers on Soda. There's no integration between the two, so you'd keep each record in its own place.
