Rolex reference codes

What does “VTNR” mean?

Green/black bezel ("Sprite").

VTNR, explained

VTNR is the Rolex suffix for a green and black bezel, from the French 'vert noir'. It first appeared in 2022 on the GMT-Master II 126720VTNR, nicknamed the 'Sprite', a steel GMT with its crown and date on the left side of the case. On the 24-hour bezel, the green half covers daytime hours and the black half night-time.

The suffix is useful because Rolex uses green on several bezels with different codes: LV for the green Submariner bezels and VTNR for the two-colour GMT bezel. The left-handed layout of the 126720VTNR is the main thing that sets it apart, so mention it in listings for buyers who search by that feature. Confirm the bracelet, since Oyster and Jubilee versions share the same reference, and give the card date and whether the watch is unworn with its stickers, as those drive the price on current models.

Example: '126720VTNR Sprite on Jubilee, 2023, full set.'
