Nicknames
What does “Starbucks” mean?
Submariner Date, black dial, green ceramic.
Starbucks, explained
'Starbucks' is a nickname for the Rolex Submariner Date 126610LV, launched in 2020 with a black dial and green ceramic bezel, colours that call to mind the coffee chain's logo. It belongs to the 41 mm Submariner generation with caliber 3235 and a power reserve of about 70 hours, and it replaced the green-dial 116610LV 'Hulk'.
The nickname isn't universal. Some dealers call the 126610LV the 'Kermit' or 'Cermit' (a ceramic Kermit), echoing the 16610LV of 2003, which had the same black dial and green bezel combination in aluminium. To avoid confusion in a listing, put the full reference next to any nickname. Buyers usually focus on the card date, whether the watch is unworn with its stickers, and the completeness of the set, and because it is a current model there are usually plenty of recent sales to compare against.
Example: '126610LV Starbucks, 2025 card, unworn, stickers on, full set.'
