WatchDealerInventory and Soda both want dealers to trade with each other, not just manage stock. The difference is in what you can check. On Soda, every business is reviewed by our team before it trades, every profile carries its track record, every deal is binding, and payment details are verified inside the deal. And publishing to your own retail channels is available on our Team plan today.

Here's the comparison, using only what WatchDealerInventory publishes about itself, as of October 2026. For every category side by side, see how watch dealer platforms compare.

What WatchDealerInventory is

WatchDealerInventory describes itself as "multi-tenant SaaS for watch dealers with inventory management, B2B discovery, and channel publishing."[1] It says it was founded in 2024 and is based in London.[4]

On its features page it lists inventory with audit trails, condition tracking and ownership types (owned, consigned and part-exchange), "opt-in public hashed links" with a wishlist that alerts you when matching stock appears, a B2B marketplace and sourcing network, live trade auctions, a repair workflow, verification services, an AI image maker and a ledger.[2] Channel publishing ("Push ready listings to Shopify, eBay, Chrono24 and more") is marked Coming Soon.[2]

Pricing, as listed on their site in October 2026: one Core plan at £120 a month with a 7-day free trial and one user. Add-ons are £15 a month per extra user, £20 a month per extra 50GB of storage and £20 a month for a consignor portal. Its pricing page lists Auto-Reprice, Public Storefront, WhatsApp Sourcing, Advanced Analytics and Multi-currency Support as in development.[3]

Why I built Soda differently

I sold watches for years before building Soda, and I'm still in many paid dealer groups. The trade runs on group chats, screenshots and trust that can't be checked. A shareable link to your stock makes it easier to show watches. It doesn't tell the dealer on the other end who you are, and it doesn't tell you who they are.

So I built Soda around trust first: verified businesses, real names, binding deals and protected payment details. Built by watch dealers who've lived every one of these headaches.

Verification you can see

We couldn't find how WatchDealerInventory checks the dealers on its B2B marketplace on its public website as of October 2026. On Soda, nobody trades until our team has reviewed them: ID, a selfie holding the ID and business documents. Everyone appears with their real full name, company and rank. Team accounts give each employee their own login and their own ID check.

And the record follows the business. Every profile shows when it was verified, how many deals it has completed, its completion rate, ratings, vouches, reliability and strikes. Before you ship a watch, you can see exactly who you're dealing with. Our team doesn't trade on Soda, so the platform is neutral.

Deals that bind

Finding a watch is half the job. The other half is making sure the deal holds. On Soda:

  • Mark as Sold commits a buyer at the listed price; the first confirmed buyer wins, the seller confirms within 24 hours, and there's a backup queue.
  • Binding offers that expire after 24 hours, 48 hours or 7 days.
  • Trade offers with items on both sides and cash either way, binding once accepted.
  • Live auctions with verified real-name bidders, max bids, tiered increments and a 60-second soft close. No deposits.

Backing out of a binding deal earns a strike other dealers can see, and disputes go to our staff disputes centre. Every completed deal also adds to price history and sold comps built only from real deals on the platform.

For the checks every buyer should run anyway, see how to buy a watch from a dealer safely.

Retail publishing, available now on Team

On the Team plan, Soda's inventory manager publishes to your own Shopify store, eBay US and a Chrono24 feed, which Chrono24 imports about once a day. Wholesale and end-user prices are kept separate, so other dealers never see your retail price. A paid Shopify or eBay order marks the watch sold and takes it down from your other channels; Chrono24 doesn't report sales, so you record those yourself.

Both plans include private cost and margin, bulk actions, CSV or Excel export, and Quick Copy for formatted WhatsApp and Facebook posts.

Who Soda is for

Soda is trade-only: verified watch businesses that buy, sell and trade with other dealers. It's priced and run in US dollars, with an approximate local price line for dealers elsewhere. The Solo plan is $80 USD a month and the Team plan is $150 USD a month, with the same features apart from employee seats and retail publishing. No commissions. No initiation fee.

The bottom line

WatchDealerInventory offers UK dealers inventory, shareable B2B links and trade auctions, with channel publishing still marked Coming Soon. Soda gives verified dealers a network where trust is visible: manual verification, track records on every profile, binding deals, verified payment details, price history from real deals, and retail publishing on the Team plan.
