Soda is a trade-only platform where verified businesses list, bid and close binding deals in one place, with verified payment details and no commissions.

Anyone who has traded watches in WhatsApp groups knows the feeling: the watch you need was posted somewhere, in some group, at some point, and you'll never find it by scrolling. TheWatchCloud's answer is to search the groups for you. My answer, with Soda, was to build the place where the listing, the dealer and the deal all live together.
My verdict: if you're committed to trading through groups and want to find posts faster, TheWatchCloud is built for that. If you want to stop relying on group posts at all, and want every deal to be binding and every counterparty verified, Soda is the alternative. For every option side by side, see our watch dealer platform comparison.
What TheWatchCloud is
TheWatchCloud describes itself as "the First Professional Luxury Trade Group Network", and its pitch is clear: "Get rid of countless small wechat/ whatsapp/ facebook/ telegram groups that are used to conduct trading businesses."[1] Its listed address is in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.[1]
As of October 2026, its site lists:[1]
- Filters by brand, reference number, dealer, date, location, vintage, sold, looking and selling.
- An auto chat translator, a market price indicator, match notifications and an Inventory Shop where dealers upload stock for matching.
- iOS and Android apps.
Its search tool, TheWatchSearch, says it aggregates messages from "approximately 300+ WhatsApp groups (and growing)", removes duplicate posts, and lets you search by brand, reference or any text, such as a nickname.[2] The homepage says this gives access to "10,000+ watch dealers (and growing)"; that's their claim.[1]
Pricing, as listed on their site in October 2026: a free trial on registration, then $150 for a 3-month Standard plan or $480 for a 1-year Premium plan, marked down from $600.[1]
Why I built Soda differently
I'm still in many paid dealer groups, and I built Soda because the trade runs on group chats, screenshots and trust that can't be checked. Making those posts searchable helps with the first problem. It doesn't touch the other two.
A searchable post is still a post. The person behind it is still whoever is behind that WhatsApp number, and the deal still happens in a DM. I wanted one place built by dealers for dealers, where the listing is structured from the start, the dealer is verified, and the deal has rules.

Stop searching, start getting alerted
Searching 300 groups is faster than scrolling them. But you're still searching what other people happened to post, in the words they happened to use.
On Soda, every listing is structured from the start: reference, year, set, condition, links, disclosures. One search bar understands references typed any way, nicknames and small typos. And instead of searching again tomorrow, you post a Looking For request.
Who's actually behind the post?
We couldn't find a description of how TheWatchCloud vets its members on its public website as of October 2026. On Soda, the rule is simple: nobody trades until our team has manually reviewed their ID, a selfie with that ID and business documents.
Every dealer then appears with their real full name, company, rank and flag. Profiles in the dealer directory show the verification date, completed deals, completion rate, ratings, vouches and strikes. Contact details stay private, conversations stay in the app with the watch attached, and our team doesn't trade on Soda.
From "SOLD" to a binding deal
A search result leads you to a dealer. Then the deal happens however that dealer wants it to happen. On Soda, the deal has rules. Mark as Sold commits the buyer at the listed price, the first confirmed buyer wins, the seller confirms within 24 hours and there's a backup queue. Offers are binding for 24 hours, 48 hours or 7 days. Trade offers put watches on both sides, with cash either way, paid before shipping. Live auctions have verified, real-name bidders, max bids and a 60-second soft close, with no deposits.
Payment details that never travel through chat
In a group-based trade, bank details are sent in a message, and a message is the easiest thing to fake. On Soda, both sides see each other's secure, verified payment details inside the agreed deal and nowhere else. Any change must be confirmed by the owner by email or text, and counterparties are notified. Shipping terms, tracking and packing photos or video are kept on the deal. We never touch your money. What the price buys
TheWatchCloud's $480 a year buys search and matching across group posts.[1] A Soda subscription buys the whole trade in one place: the marketplace, binding deals, auctions, Looking For, verified payment details, an inventory manager, invoices, price history from real deals on the platform, and team accounts on Team. No commissions, no initiation fee. Compare current plans on our pricing page.
Who Soda is for
Soda is trade-only: registered watch businesses that trade with other dealers and are willing to be verified. Solo suits one-person businesses; Team adds employee seats, each with their own login and ID check, plus retail channel publishing. If you plan to keep trading mainly in groups and want a better way to search them, a search tool may be enough for now.
The bottom line
TheWatchCloud makes 300+ WhatsApp groups easier to search. Soda replaces the need to search them: a marketplace of verified businesses, Looking For alerts, binding deals, live auctions, verified payment details, inventory and invoices, with no commissions. See every row on how we compare.
