About the Star Wheel family
The Star Wheel was introduced in the early 1990s and is one of Audemars Piguet's more unusual vintage pieces. It shows the hours with three rotating sapphire discs carried on a central wheel, each disc bearing four numerals, which pass along a minute scale on the dial. It is a modern version of the wandering-hours display.
