About the Zeitwerk family
The Zeitwerk was introduced in 2009 as a mechanical watch with a digital display: hours and minutes jump on discs read through a large window. Moving the discs at once needs a lot of energy, so the caliber L043.1 uses a constant-force mechanism to keep the rate stable.
Later versions include the Zeitwerk Minute Repeater, which chimes the time in decimal fashion, and the Zeitwerk Date of 2021 with caliber L043.8. The catalog lists pink, white, yellow and honey gold and platinum references. Dealers check that the jumping display works crisply and ask for service history.
