What does “End Links” mean?
The pieces connecting a bracelet to the case; model-specific.
End Links, explained
End links are the pieces at each end of a bracelet that connect it to the watch case, filling the gap between the lugs. They are shaped to match the curve of a specific case, which is why they are model-specific: an end link from one reference often will not sit flush on another, even from the same brand.
For dealers, end links matter when a bracelet is sold separately or when checking a watch's originality. On many Rolex bracelets, the end links carry a stamped number that indicates which case family they were made for, so a mismatch can reveal a bracelet that was swapped. Older bracelets often had hollow or folded end links, while modern sports models generally use solid ones, which affects both feel and value. Gaps, rattles or end links that do not follow the case line are signs of a poor fit or an aftermarket part.
A buyer might ask: “Are the end links original to this reference? Can you send a photo of the number on them?” Sellers who provide that photo up front save time.
