About the El Primero family
The El Primero was introduced in 1969 as one of the first automatic chronograph calibers, beating at 36,000 vibrations per hour so it can time to a tenth of a second. The first watches, such as ref. A386 with its tri-colour counters, are among the most collected Zenith models.
This heading holds more than a hundred and fifty El Primero references from the 2000s and 2010s, such as the El Primero 36'000 VpH, Chronomaster 1969 and Original 1969 models, in steel, gold, ceramic and aluminium. Dealers identify the model and caliber from the reference and check the chronograph functions and papers.
