About the Pilot family
Zenith has a long link with aviation and registered the Pilot name early in its history. The Pilot Type 20 of the 2010s took its look from vintage cockpit instruments, with large numerals and a big onion crown.
In 2023 Zenith launched a new Pilot collection: the 40 mm Pilot Automatic with the El Primero 3620, and the 42.5 mm Pilot Big Date Flyback with the El Primero 3652, in steel and black ceramic. The catalog also lists earlier references in aged steel and bronze. Dealers identify the generation, size and caliber from the reference.
