About the Black Bay family

The Black Bay was introduced in 2012 as the Heritage Black Bay, a dive watch drawing on Tudor's 1950s Submariners with a domed crystal, a large crown without guards and snowflake hands. It quickly grew into Tudor's main family.

The first models used an ETA caliber; from 2016 the Black Bay moved to the in-house MT5602 and related calibers. The family includes the 39 mm Black Bay Fifty-Eight of 2018, the GMT, the Chrono, Bronze versions, the Pro, the smaller Black Bay 54 and Master Chronometer models from 2023. Dealers note the size, bezel colour, caliber generation and bracelet or strap, since many versions share the same look.
