About the Perpetual 1908 family
The Perpetual 1908 was introduced in 2023 as Rolex's new dress watch, named after the year Hans Wilsdorf registered the Rolex brand. It has a 39 mm round case with a fluted and domed bezel, a small seconds at 6 o'clock and a display caseback, rare for Rolex.
Inside is caliber 7140, an automatic movement developed for the model. The first versions came in 18k yellow gold (ref. 52508) and 18k white gold (ref. 52509), and a platinum model with an ice-blue dial, ref. 52506, followed in 2024. These are recent watches, usually traded close to new, so the completeness of the set and the strap condition carry most of the weight.
