About the Oyster Perpetual family

The Oyster Perpetual is the most direct form of the Oyster: time only, no date, smooth bezel and Oyster bracelet. Its name joins the waterproof Oyster case of 1926 and the Perpetual self-winding rotor of 1931, and it has been made in many sizes over the decades.

In 2020 Rolex refreshed the line with 41 mm (ref. 124300), 36 mm (ref. 126000), 34 mm, 31 mm (ref. 277200) and 28 mm models and a range of lacquered colour dials such as turquoise, candy pink, coral red, yellow and green. A revised 41 mm model, ref. 134300, followed in 2026. Because the case and bracelet are shared within each size, dealers identify these watches above all by dial colour, and some colours trade very differently from others.
