About the Gondolo family
Gondolo is Patek Philippe's line of rectangular and tonneau-shaped watches with an Art Deco feel. The name comes from Gondolo & Labouriau, a Rio de Janeiro retailer for which Patek made watches in the early 20th century.
The catalog includes men's models such as the ref. 5124 and the ref. 5200 with an eight-day power reserve, the ref. 5098, and ladies' models such as the 4962 and 4972. Movements include the hand-wound shaped calibers 25-21 REC and 28-20 REC and the quartz E15. Because shaped watches are sized differently from round ones, dealers usually give case length and width, the metal and whether the strap and buckle are original.
