About the Radiomir family

The Radiomir takes its name from the radium-based luminous paint Panerai patented in the early 20th century. In the late 1930s the firm made large cushion-shaped watches with wire lugs for Italian navy divers, which became the model for the Radiomir.

The modern family includes the Radiomir with wire lugs, the Radiomir 1940 with solid lugs, California dials mixing Roman and Arabic numerals and many limited editions, with calibers such as the P.3000. Dealers quote the PAM number, check the production letter and the strap and buckle.
