About the Geophysic family
The original Geophysic Chronometer was introduced in 1958 for the International Geophysical Year, with an anti-magnetic, shock-resistant case. Jaeger-LeCoultre reissued it in 2014 as the Geophysic 1958.
In 2015 the brand added the Geophysic True Second, whose caliber 770 makes the seconds hand jump in whole seconds, and the Geophysic Universal Time with a world-time display. The catalog lists stainless steel, pink gold and platinum references. Dealers identify the model and metal and check the strap and papers.
Catalog facts checked October 2026.
