About the Reverso family

The Reverso was introduced in 1931 for polo players in British India, who wanted a watch that could survive a match. Its rectangular case slides and flips over in its cradle to hide the crystal, leaving a metal back that is often engraved.

The line includes the Reverso Tribute and Classic, the Duoface with a second dial on the back, the Reverso One for women and complicated models such as the Hybris Mechanica. Calibers include the hand-wound 822. Dealers identify the size and function from the reference, check that the flip mechanism is smooth and note any engraving on the back.

Catalog facts checked October 2026.
