About the collection
This grouping covers the earliest Grand Seiko references. The J14070 of 1960 was the very first Grand Seiko, powered by the hand-wound caliber 3180 and built to a strict accuracy standard. The 43999, which followed in the early 1960s with the hand-wound caliber 430, continued the line.
Both are important to Grand Seiko collectors. Check the dial, hands and crown for originality, the case for over-polishing and the movement for a recent, competent service.
