About the collection
The 61GS V.F.A., from 1969, was the first Very Fine Adjusted Grand Seiko. Its automatic high-beat movements, caliber 6185 with date and 6186 with day and date, were adjusted to an accuracy of plus or minus one minute per month, which was exceptional for a mechanical watch.
V.F.A. models were made in small numbers and are highly regarded. Check the dial for the correct V.F.A. markings, the originality of the hands and crown, and the service history.
