Franck Muller Crazy Hours

Crazy Hours, introduced in 2003, is one of Franck Muller's best-known complications. The hour numerals are placed out of order around the dial, and the hour hand jumps to the correct numeral each hour, while the minute hand moves normally. It is a playful idea built on a real mechanical complication.

The catalog includes Crazy Hours in the Cintrée Curvex case (references such as 5850CH and 7850CH) and in the rectangular Long Island case, in rose gold and white gold, some with diamond-set bezels. Buyers check that the hour hand jumps cleanly at each hour and that the dial and case match the reference.
