About Franck Muller

Franck Muller is a Geneva watch company founded in 1991 by the watchmaker Franck Muller and Vartan Sirmakes. Muller had made his name in the 1980s with highly complicated pieces, and the new brand combined that technical background with a very distinctive look: curved tonneau cases, large stylised numerals and bright, playful dials. It is based in Genthod, outside Geneva, at a site known as Watchland.

The Cintrée Curvex case, curved in several directions to follow the wrist, is the brand's signature and appears across much of this catalog, along with the newer Curvex CX. Other families include the sporty Vanguard, the rectangular Long Island, the square Master Square, the Conquistador, the scrambled-hour Crazy Hours, the Grande Date and the high-complication Aeternitas.

Franck Muller references are long codes that describe the case size, the function and the material, with letters such as QZ for quartz, SC for central seconds, CH for chronograph and D for diamonds. Read the code carefully, as the same model exists in dozens of variants. The Vanguard is the line dealers handle most often; for diamond-set pieces, buyers want to know that the setting is original to the factory.
