About the collection
Air Command goes back to a small series of flyback chronographs that Blancpain developed for the US Air Force in the 1950s; very few were made and the originals are rare. The modern collection began with a limited reissue in 2019, the AC01 reference, and later references followed in steel, titanium and red gold.
The watches pair a flyback chronograph with a countdown bezel and a dial in a vintage style with luminous numerals. They use Blancpain's F-series chronograph calibers, such as the F188B and the high-frequency F388B. When dealing in one, check whether it is the limited 2019 edition or a later series model, as the reference shows.
