Dials
What does “Tiffany Dial” mean?
Dial co-signed by Tiffany & Co.; highly sought after, and added signatures are a known fake.
Tiffany Dial, explained
A Tiffany dial is a watch dial co-signed with the name Tiffany & Co. alongside the watch brand's own name. Historically, watches sold through Tiffany stores sometimes had their dials signed this way, and certain brands still produce Tiffany-signed versions. The co-signature appears on models from several high-end brands.
Tiffany-signed watches often attract a strong premium over the same watch without the signature, because the dials are rarer and have a dedicated collector following. That also makes them a target for fakes: adding a Tiffany signature to an ordinary dial is a known form of fraud. Buyers therefore look for supporting evidence, such as original papers or receipts from Tiffany, consistency in the printing style and expert inspection. The signature should match the font, size and position used on genuine examples for that reference and era.
Typical usage: “Rolex Datejust with Tiffany & Co. signed dial, original papers from Tiffany, printing matches known examples.” Without documentation, careful buyers usually value a Tiffany dial far more cautiously.
