About the collection
The EMC, short for Electro Mechanical Control, was introduced by Urwerk in 2013. It is a mechanical watch with a built-in system that measures its own rate: a small hand-cranked generator powers an optical sensor that compares the balance with a reference, and the owner can then adjust the rate with a screw on the back.
The reference in this catalog is the EMC SR-71 10th Anniversary edition. As with all Urwerk pieces, the full set and a service history from the brand are essential, and the measuring function should be tested.
