About TAG Heuer

TAG Heuer goes back to 1860, when Edouard Heuer opened a workshop in Saint-Imier in the Swiss Jura. The company became a specialist in timing instruments: it patented an oscillating pinion for chronographs in 1887, made stopwatches and dashboard timers for cars and aircraft and, under Jack Heuer from the 1960s, built its reputation in motor racing. In 1985 the company was bought by the TAG group and became TAG Heuer, and it has been part of LVMH since 1999.

The catalog covers the Carrera, the square Monaco, the Autavia, the Formula 1, the Aquaracer divers and the Link. Movements range from quartz to outsourced automatic calibers such as the Caliber 5 and Caliber 16 and the brand's own Heuer 01 and Heuer 02 chronographs.

TAG Heuer references, such as CBN2A1B or WBP201A, identify the model, movement and dial, followed by a code for the strap or bracelet, so dealers quote them in full. Vintage Heuer chronographs, signed Heuer before 1985, are a separate collector market where dial, case and movement originality decide everything. For modern pieces, box, warranty card and service history are the main questions.
