About Ressence

Ressence was founded in 2010 in Antwerp, Belgium, by the industrial designer Benoît Mintiens. Its watches have no hands: the time is shown by rotating discs within a turning dial, the system the brand calls ROCS. Some models are filled with oil so the display seems to sit right under the crystal, and most have no crown, being set and wound through the case back.

The catalog lists the Type 1 in round, slim and squared versions, the Type 2, the oil-filled Type 3 and Type 5 dive watch, the Type 7 and the Type 8, in titanium.

Dealers check the display discs and, on oil-filled models, that there are no bubbles, and ask about service history from the brand.
