About Parmigiani Fleurier

Parmigiani Fleurier was founded in 1996 by Michel Parmigiani, a watchmaker known for restoring historic pieces, with the support of the Sandoz Family Foundation. Based in Fleurier in the Val-de-Travers, it belongs to a group of companies that make movements, cases, dials and other components, which gives it unusual independence for a brand of its size.

Its designs draw on classical proportions, with knurled bezels and teardrop-shaped lugs as recurring details. The catalog covers the Toric, the brand's first collection; the tonneau-shaped Kalpa; the earlier round Tonda; and the Tonda PF, introduced in 2021 with an integrated bracelet, which has become the brand's best-known line.

For dealers, the Tonda PF in steel with the integrated bracelet is the most sought-after model. Parmigiani references begin with PFC or PFH, followed by codes for the model, case and dial, so check them carefully against the watch and papers. Look at the knurled bezel for knocks, as it is hard to restore, and expect buyers to ask for the full set.
