About Nomos Glashütte

Nomos Glashütte was founded in 1990 by Roland Schwertner in Glashütte, just after German reunification. Its clean, Bauhaus-influenced designs and its in-house movements, including its own escapement system since 2014, made it one of the best-known German brands.

The catalog lists the Tangente, Orion, Ludwig, Club, Metro, Tetra, Ahoi, Zürich, Lux, Minimatik and Autobahn families, mostly in steel, hand-wound and automatic, including date, neomatik and power reserve versions and Tangente Sport models.

Nomos reference numbers are short model numbers, for example 101 for the classic Tangente. Dealers quote the number with the dial colour and case size and check box, papers and the bracelet or strap.
