About Moritz Grossmann
Moritz Grossmann takes its name from a Glashütte watchmaker (1826–1885) who was one of the founders of the town's industry. The brand was revived in Glashütte in 2008 by Christine Hutter.
Its watches are hand-wound, with Saxon features such as German silver three-quarter plates and hand-engraved balance cocks, slender brown-violet hands and, on many models, a pusher that is used together with the crown to set the time. The catalog lists the Benu, Atum and Tefnut lines in rose gold and white gold.
Dealers check the papers and the hand finishing, which is an important part of the watch's value.
