About H. Moser & Cie

H. Moser & Cie. goes back to Heinrich Moser, a watchmaker from Schaffhausen who set up a watch business in St Petersburg in 1828 and built it into a major supplier to the Russian market before returning to Switzerland. The name was revived in 2005, and since 2012 the company has been owned by the Meylan family's MELB Holding. It is based in Neuhausen am Rheinfall and makes its own movements, with a sister company producing balance springs.

Modern Moser is known for minimalist design and, above all, its fumé dials, which fade from a light centre to dark edges, often with no logo or numerals. The catalog covers the classic Endeavour, the curved Venturer, the sporty Pioneer, the integrated-bracelet Streamliner, the pocket-watch-inspired Heritage, the rectangular Swiss Alp Watch and the earlier Henry line.

For dealers, dial colour and texture drive interest as much as the model, so describe the dial precisely. Many pieces are limited editions or concept versions without branding on the dial, and buyers expect the full set. The Streamliner is the line most asked for, and Moser's own service is recommended for its calibers.
