About Greubel Forsey
Greubel Forsey was founded in 2004 in La Chaux-de-Fonds by Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey, two watchmakers who had worked together on complicated movements before setting up their own brand. Its first watch, the Double Tourbillon 30°, introduced the inclined tourbillon that became the basis of much of its work.
The brand presents its technical developments as fundamental inventions, among them the Quadruple Tourbillon, the fast-rotating Tourbillon 24 Secondes and inclined balance wheels in the Balancier models. Every watch is extensively hand-finished, with movements built in three dimensions on several levels. The catalog covers the tourbillon families, the GMT with its rotating globe, the Balancier models, the Art Piece watches, the Hand Made 1, which is almost entirely made by hand, and the small Nano.
Greubel Forsey makes only a small number of watches each year, and most are limited or near unique. Pieces are identified by model name and edition rather than a short reference, so documentation is essential. Buyers expect the full set, the certificate and a service history from the brand, and every function should be checked by someone familiar with these movements.
