About the Quai des Bergues family
Quai des Bergues was Czapek's first watch after the brand's revival, shown in 2015 and delivered from 2016. It is named after the Geneva street where François Czapek had his workshop and is based on one of his pocket watches, with two subdials and a classic round case.
It uses the hand-wound SXH1 caliber, developed for the brand, with two barrels and a power reserve of about seven days. Early pieces were made in small numbered series, which is why the catalog references are numbered, and dials include grand feu enamel and guilloché versions. Check that the number and dial match the papers and inspect the dial closely, as enamel cannot easily be restored.
