About Bulgari

Bulgari was founded in Rome in 1884 by the Greek silversmith Sotirios Voulgaris and became one of Italy's best-known jewellers. Watches followed as jewellery pieces, but the house turned into a serious watchmaker after 2000, when it acquired the Gérald Genta and Daniel Roth businesses and later brought case, dial and movement making in-house in Switzerland. Bulgari has been part of LVMH since 2011.

The catalog spans the octagonal Octo family, including the record-setting Octo Finissimo and the softer Octo Roma, the Bvlgari Bvlgari with its engraved bezel, the snake-inspired Serpenti, the jewellery lines Divas' Dream, Lvcea and B.zero1, the sporty Aluminium and the older Diagono.

For dealers the Octo Finissimo is the line most in demand, especially in titanium and steel. Its very thin case and integrated bracelet should be checked for bends, dents and stretched links, and the full set matters. Serpenti and other jewellery watches are judged on the condition of the gem setting and the original bracelet. Modern Bulgari references are six-digit numbers, which makes identification straightforward when the papers are present.
