About Bovet

Bovet was founded in 1822 by Édouard Bovet, whose family made ornate, finely decorated pocket watches, many of them for China. Since 2001 the company has belonged to Pascal Raffy, who brought movement making in house with the Dimier manufacture in Tramelan.

Bovet is known for the Amadeo case, which converts from wristwatch to pocket watch or small table clock, and for watches with the movement and decoration shown on both sides. The catalog lists the Récital series of complicated pieces, including tourbillons and astronomical models, the Amadeo Fleurier and the Monsieur Bovet, in red gold, white gold, titanium and sapphire.

Dealers check the conversion parts that come with Amadeo-cased watches (bow, chain, stand), the case metal and, on decorated pieces, that the engraving and dial match the papers.
