About Akrivia

Akrivia is the Geneva workshop Rexhep Rexhepi founded in 2012, when he was 25. Born in Kosovo, he moved to Switzerland as a child, started his training at Patek Philippe and later worked for BNB Concept and F.P. Journe before setting up on his own. The name comes from the Greek word for precision. His first watches were tourbillons; the time-only Chronomètre Contemporain followed in 2018 and won the men's watch prize at that year's Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève.

The catalog lists the AK-06 in steel, titanium, rose gold and platinum, the Chronomètre Contemporain including the second-generation RRCC II, and the Tourbillon Régulateur and Tourbillon Chiming Jump Hour. All are hand-wound and finished by hand, with black-polished steel parts and, on many pieces, grand feu enamel dials.

Output is a few dozen watches a year, so most pieces change hands between collectors. Dealers check the case number against the papers, the condition of the hand finishing, which shows any careless service, and whether the watch has been back to the workshop.
